Charis Pantazis started studying the classical double bassat the Zografou city conservatory at the age of 17. He graduated the jazz department of Filippos Nakas conservatory with distinction and in 2015 he started to visit regurarly New York where he attended music lessons and seminars.

He is a founding member of two jazz collectives: the Athens Jazz Syndicate and the Jeepers Creepers Band.

He has performed in many venues and festivals in Greece and abroad.
