Dimitris Neonakis was born in Athens in 1981. At the age of 15 he started playing the guitar. He was also taught theory and guitar by Akis Tourkogiorgis and Makis Amblianitis. Along with guitar and western music, he deals with the traditional music of Crete and took Cretan lute lessons with Giannis Xylouris.

He is a founding member of Outward Bound, which released their first album in 2009.

He has participated in the album "Para-phrases" by Vangelis Katsoulis, as well as in the collection "Clinical jazz" of the online company "Clinical archives" based in Moscow.

He teaches guitar lessons at the school of Heraklion, Crete.
