Antonia Mavronikola

Antonia Mavronikola is a vocalist and music creator with a presence in the contemporary Greek jazz scene. She has collaborated with acclaimed musicians such as Grigoris Danis, Christos Kechris, Giannis Papadopoulos, Manos Anagnostopoulos, Minas Liakos, Leonidas Sarantopoulos, among others, participating in bands like Gumbo Yaya, Nosso Samba, Batuta Trio, as well as in her personal project "Floudes Erpides", featuring a sound that moves between jazz-rock and progressive elements.

She has studied jazz and modern piano with Spyros Manesis and Orestis Petrakis, while she began classical piano training at an early age and continued for several years at the National Conservatory. She is a graduate of the Lab Music Education Professional Program (Vocals), and currently completing her postgraduate studies in the Master’s Program “Music Education in Formal and Informal Environments” at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

She is also an occupational therapist and works in the field of music therapy, focusing on the connection between music and the support of mental and neurodevelopmental health.

Beyond jazz, she is active in other genres such as funk (former member of Michalis Kapilidis’ Extended Funk Family et.al.), traditional and rebetiko music, and has recently collaborated with Mother of Millions, one of the most notable Greek bands in the progressive rock and metal scene.
