Apostolos Leventopoulos started studying music at the age of 9. After 7 years of piano lessons he decided to pick up the guitar. Initially as a self-taught, he then received lessons at the Modern conservatory and the Agostini Music School in Thessaloniki. Later he received a scholarship to study at the Berklee College of Music in Boston with John Thomas, Ritchie Hart, John Pezanelli, Mick Goodrick, Jon Damian, Garrison Fewell, improvisation with Ed Tomassi, George Garzone, Tiger Okoshi, Jeff Galindo, composition and music theory with Steve Rochinski, Ken Pullig and arranging with Ben Elkins, Scott Free. He graduated with a dinstiction in 2001 (Bachelor in Jazz performance) and at the same year he participated in the Berklee group at the Berklee International Network. He has attended workshops with artists such as Peter Bernstein, Hiram Bullock, Alan Holdsworth, Pat Martino, Pat Metheny, Kurt Rosenwinkel, John Scofield, Mark Turner, Jeff ''Tain'' Watts and more. He has also a classical guitar diploma.

He has played with many Greek and international jazz artists (Sean Corby, Alex Foster, Marek Patrman, Logan Richardson, Rex Richardson, Peter Slavov, Yoel Soto, Dayna Stephens, Erik Vermeulen, Jason Yarde, Dimitri Vassilakis, George Kontrafouris and more), in jazz, funk and ethinc ethnic groups and has performed at festivals and venues in many greek cities and abroad.

His debut personal album "Songs For Acoustic Guitar" was released in 2022.
