Thodoris Kotsifas was born in Naousa, Imathia in 1985. He begun playing music at the age of six. From 2003 to 2009 he studied at the Ionian University where he graduated with a jazz guitar diploma.

In 2011 he moved in Athens and since then he is one of the most active Greek jazz musicians, performing and recording with many important jazz artists in Greece.

He is a founding member of the Next Step Quintet. His first personal album "Conception of thought" was released in 2017.

He teaches at conservatories and music schools.
