Yannis Konstantinidis was born in Athens in 1974. He started being involved with music studying classical guitar and music theory at the age of 14. A few years later, after collaborating with various rock groups he turned his interest into jazz. He studied for 6 years in Holland (in Amsterdam and Utrecht) and graduated with jazz guitar and music production diplomas.

Since returning to Athens he has been regularly performing and teaching. Recently he and his group are working on his personal project entitled "Blue Room". He has collaborated with many musicians of the Greek jazz scene.
