Aggelos Gavriil was born in Athens in 1960. He is a classic guitar and advanced theory teacher. He has also received an Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music teaching diploma. He studied at Apollonio and Athenaeum conservatories. Among his teachers was Andreas Paleologos. He has also indulged in jazz.

He has performed at festivals, music venues, as well as for radio and TV, either with his projects, or collaborating with artists hailing from the jazz, the classical music and the greek music scene.

He teaches since 1980.

He is the author of the books "Short History of Jazz" and "Guitar Method".
