Costas Fountas holds a bachelor's degree in jazz guitar from the Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Prince Claus Conservatorium in the Netherlands, where he studied from 2016 to 2020 as a scholarship holder from the Bakala Brothers Public Benefit Foundation. Previously, he had a degree in electric guitar from the Art Conservatory of Yiorgos Fakanas.

From 2007 to 2010 he studied at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens.

During his stay in the Netherlands he performed in various jazz clubs in the country, but also on television as a member of the PCC Big Band. He has also performed, among others, with George Kontrafouris and Yiannis Papadopoulos.
