Petros Damianidis was born in Thessaloniki. At the age of 6, he started musical studies on traditional Greek instruments, while he continued studying electric bass with Petros Kardasis. From 2007 to 2012 he studied double bass at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki. In 2010 he participated in jazz and improvisation seminars at the Codarts Music Academy in Rotterdam.

He is a founding member of Trio Amnesia, Toys factory and Act Up trio. He also participates in other jazz ensembles, such as plus & minus Collective Orchestra and Four of 19.

It has performed in various cities in Greece and abroad.

Since 2009 he has been teaching electric bass and double bass in the conservatories of Thessaloniki and Kozani.
