Gagastathos Paris started studying music with classical piano, theory and classical singing at the Pindarion Conservatory, the Athens Conservatory and at the Glyfadas' Municipal School of Music. While searhing for hiw own musical identity, he was attracted to jazz listening the discography of great jazz musicians and later by learning on his ownhow to play the blues and jazz music. Then he studied jazz piano at the Nakas Conservatory with Pantelis Benetatos.

Since then he has worked with many important musicians and composers of the Greek scene (Haris Ktsimichas, Manos Ksydous, Vangelis Germanos, etc.) as well as with well-known jazz musicians, taking part in various projects. He is also playing with his own quartet with which he makes live appearances in music venues (F. Nakas, The Zoo, Spiti art bar, etc.), presenting his view on modern jazz with compositions between classical standards and original arrangements of the group. 

He also teaches music, being a jazz piano and music ensembles teacher at the Nakas Conservatory, at the Sikyonios Music School in Kiato (Peloponesse) whereas he teaches contemporary singing at the Phonetics Studio.
