Gregory Tsatsos
Tsatsos Gregory was born in Thessaloniki. At the age of 10 he started studying classical guitar at the Northern Greece Conservatory and after two years he moved on studying electric guitar. He completed Law Studied at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He appeared with many groups all over Greece.
He continued his musical studies at Los Angeles at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, where he graduated with honors and he had the chance to study and play music with great guitarists such as Scott Henderson, Joe Diorio and others.
At Los Angeles he recorded his first album, named Gregory Avenue, mostly with his original compositions.
He participated at the well-known pop-rock band Blue whereas in 1997 he created the Blue Room Jazz Quartet along with Kostas Anastasiadis at drums, Nektarios Karantzis at bass and Yiannis Oikonomidis at trumphet.
In 2001 he was one of the founding members of Association of Jazz & Creative Music. Apart form his group he plays with the big orchestra Plus‘n’ Minus Collective.
In 2018 Gregory Tsatsos published his first book in Greek named "Ο σολίστας και στιγμιαίος συνθέτης" (εκδόσεις Γράφημα).
