Danis Tragopoulos is a self-taught musician who lives in Thessaloniki. He got being involved in music and other artistic activities while at the same time working as a civil engineer for the public administration.

In 1976 he created the group A Priori which released one album in 1986.

In 1984 he joined the active group "Dimosioipalliliko Retire" (penthouse of public administration, in a free translation) which organized many projects and with it he took part in many publications, happenings and CDs.

He recorded three personal self-released albums, he wrote the music for many theatrical shows for children and the soundtrack of the movie "The black sphere" of the project Thessaloniki, the Cultural Capital of Europe. Also, in 1991 he participated in the first Greek Song competition with his song "Oi gyrologoi".
