Pianist Yiannis Terezakis was a member of the 60' band Solistes (the band's other members were the singer Lakis Tzilianos, the sax player Giorgos Manikas and the drummer Lefteris Tzimas). The group became successful in Athens and toured internationally, performing even in Tehran, with a repertoire including hits of the '60s, as well as jazz and soul compositions, but did not left any recorded work.

Later Terezakis became the pianist of the Greek Radio and TV Orchestra and collaborated with Loukianos Kilaidonis, as well as with Kyriakos Sfetsas, as a member of the Greek Fusion Orchestra.

On his initiative, the Big Band of the Municipality of Athens was founded and he became its leader. He died in 2018.
