Lydia Stavraki
Lydia Stavraki was born in Athens in 1994. She started singing and playing the piano at the age of eight.
At nineteen she moved to the Netherlands to study psychology at Leiden University, but quickly found her way into the Dutch music scene and began playing in various ensembles from jazz to Greek music. She received her BSc in psychology and BA in Latin Jazz music from Codarts Rotterdam with teachers Jarmo Hoogendijk and Lilian Vieira. She is a member of the National Jeugd Jazz Orkest (NJJO) of the Netherlands with which she started a national and international tour in July '23 under the guidance of Maite Hontelé. She created her own trio, with which she performs her own compositions that connect Latin and Greek music through jazz.
She sings in Spanish, Portuguese, English and Greek.
