Panagiotis Smarnakis grew up in Syros and started studying classical piano from a very young age. When he heard the sound of the hammond live from Giorgos Kontrafouris, he devoted himself to playing this instrument.

He is a graduate of the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University.

He has collaborated with many musicians of the Greek jazz scene.
