Thomas Sliomis was born in Thessaloniki in 1951. He studied piano, music theory and composition in Athens, Paris and London. He also attended electro-acoustic music lessons with Iannis Xenakis and composition seminars with Pierre Boulez. He has composed contemporary classical music as well as jazz and improvised music.

His work has been presented on radio, concerts and festivals in Greece and abroad. He has composed music for theatre, films and dance performances and he wrote the screenplay for the "Jazz in Greece" documentary (National TV, 1998, directed by Takis Papagiannidis). He has also published articles in magazine been the author of books and since 2006 he has been directing the music department of Patakis Book Publications.

His debut album “Cantos” was released in 1999.
