Eleonora Roussou
Eleonora Roussou started being involved with music at the age of five studying at the National Conservatoire of Cyprus, where she attained diplomas cum laude in classical piano and classical flute. Then she studied classical piano with Yolande Wrigley at the University of Sheffield (BMus Hons), where she is awarded the Sir Thomas Beecham Scholarship, and Psychology of Music with Jane Davidson and Eric Clarke (MA Psychology of Music). Furthermore, she studied Jazz Flute Performance at Codarts Conservatorium Rotterdam (BA Jazz Performance) with Bart Platteau and Simon Rigter, where she is awarded the Huygens Scholarship program (2011-2012).
She participates in a vast array of jazz, classical, folk and fusion music concerts as a performer and composer in Cyprus and abroad. She collaborates with various theatre groups in Cyprus as a music coach, arranger, and onstage performer and works on stage with artists such as Stavros Lantsias, Stamatis Kraounakis, and Costas Cacoyiannis. She is currently based in Cyprus as a freelance performer, composer, arranger and teacher and is preparing her first solo album, "Hará".
