Alexandra Papanastasiou was born and raised in Athens, Greece. She studied piano at the Athens Conservatory with Loukia Filipponi and Advanced Music Theory with Michalis Travlos.

She worked as a private piano and theory teacher, and also as an accompanist in many classical ballet schools in Athens, amongst which in the National School of Dance.

Since 1998 she has been living in Luxembourg. She still offers private piano lessons and is involved in composition.

In 2017 she released her CD album entitled "The Light You Shed".
