Yiannis Loukatos studied jazz guitar ath the Franz List Academy in Budapest.

In 1996 he returned in Athens and since then he has been collaborating with most of the Greek jazz musicians, performing in festivals, live clubs, and venues, such as the Athens Concert Hall, the Pallas, the Stavros Niarxos Foundation, the Ηalf Νote and more.

In 2005 he formed the Hot Club de Grece, with which he has been performing regularly at Athens venues and around Greece.

He has participated in many recordings and also teaches jazz guitar.
