Yorgos Krommydas was born in Athens in 1977. He studied electric guitar, jazz harmony and theory at Filippos Nakas Conservatory and at Conservatorium Van Amtserdam.

He has collaborated with many jazz musicians in Greece and has participated in many recordings as a session musician.
He was a founding and active member of Hot Club De Grèce, and in 2009 he created the Organ Trio with George Kontrafouris and Christos Asonitis.

His first personal album "Jazzium" was released in 2010.In 2012, he also created the Modern Jazz Quintet.

He teaches guitar in the modern department of Filippos Nakas Conservatory.
