Dimitris Klonis
Dimitris Klonis was born in Athens in 1984. At the age of 14 he started drums lessons with Petros Dahtylidis and then with Giannis Floros (learning the Alan Dawson method).
In 2010 he graduated the National Technical University of Athens and started to study at Conservatorium van Amsterdam and Rotterdam Jazz Academy. Among his teachers were Lucas Van Merwijk, Maurcel Serierse and Victor Oskam. He has a music theory degree (2009) and a counterpoint degree (2012) studying with Orestis Xatzinakis.
He has collaborated with many greek jazz artists, such as Takis Paterelis, George Kontrafouris, Yiotis Samaras and Dimitris Tsakas, as well as with internationally famous artists (Femi Temowo, Michael Weisberger, Enrique Pascual, etc.).
He has also performed with popular Greek artists such as Foivos Delivorias, Martha Frintzila, Doros Dimosthenous and Petros Theotokatos. He teaches at Lab Music Education.
