Charis Kapetanakis
Charis Kapetanakis was born in 1970 in Thessaloniki. He studied saxophone and music theory. Since 1991 he is very active in music, participating in various groups and playing as a session musician in many projects.
He is a founding member of the groups: Hardgroove Quartet, Nasa Funk, Aroma Caribe latin Jazz orchestra, Jazz Frequency Quintet along with he plays in concerts, in Greece and abroad, apart from working together in discography.
He has collaborated with many acclaimed musicians such as Aleksandar Jaćimović, Ray Vega, Roberto Pla, Herman Oliviera, Chico Freeman and others. Futhermore, he has composed music for five short films. Since 2001 he teaches saxophone and music theory in Synodeio Conservatory of Thessaloniki.
In 2020 Charis Kapetanakis released his first album "Blue Roads".
