Vasilis Horianopoulos was born and raised in Piraeus. From the age of 13 he started with classical guitar classes. Following his passion for drumming attended the Lab music education, where he studied and took seminars with remarkable Greek and foreign musicians. He continued his musical studies with Sylvios Syrros in Athenaeum jazz department.

He practicipated in several jazz-fusion platforms and collaborated with significant musicians of the Greek jazz scene, such as Aris Papadopoulos quartet, Acer Trio and Parity.

With Parity, a duo with guitarist George Stavroulakis, he released the homonymous album in 2020.
