Danis Yorgos was born in Larissa in 1990 and in 2008 he moved to Athens, where he started his studies in music. He took electric bass lessons with Theo Botinis, popular music theroy and jazz harmony with Yiorgos Angelopoulos, pop-rock-fusion ensemble with Sotiris Pomonis, Apostolis Gkolias and latin ensemble with Socrates Ganiaris. Later on he continued studying the double bass, taking lessons in jazz improvisation and jazz ensemble with Yiannis Papanastasiou, jazz piano trio ensemble with Spyros Manesis and classical bass with Tasos Kazaglis.

Since 2010 he takes part in various music groups (jazz, soul, funk, blues, pop), having many participations in classical orchestras as well (Stavros Niarchos Foundation, Olympia theater, Herodio). Also, he is very active in the Greek jazz scene.
